Busts stress

(Balances Kapha and Vata)

Cool, calm, and creamy. Mint, a digestive stimulant, balances out the evil (aka fattening) side of frozen yogurt. This weight-loss catalyst packs another punch, too—cooling your body and easing raw nerves. For frazzled Pittas, “Stress can be a huge issue and it often leads to putting on weight,” said Tomasko. Feeling overwhelmed? Drop the pint of Haagen Dazs. Mint will keep your stress in check, stimulates digestion and holds hint of sweetness to satisfy your dessert desire.

Serves: 4

2 cups low-fat, plain Greek yogurt, (use goat’s milk yogurt for Kapha)
½ cup dark bittersweet chocolate chips
1 ½ tablespoon chopped fresh mint
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
¼ cup agave syrup

Place the yogurt, half of the chocolate chips, mint, vanilla, and agave into a food processor.  Process until well combined.  Mixture does not have to be completely smooth.  Pour mixture into an airtight, freezer-safe container and stir in remaining chips. Freeze 2-3 hours or until firm.
