Why can't I flatten my belly?

Even though I do yoga every day, I still can’t flatten my belly. What should I do? -C. Swarnasudha

I would look at your diet. Belly fat is the hardest to lose and it’s often due to genetics and our calorie intake.  If you are eating a lot of packaged foods, foods high in preservatives, sweets, or alcohol, you should cut down on that and drink more water. Yoga does help with increasing your metabolism, but to see faster results, I recommend eliminating so called bad carbs (white bread, sugar, etc.), from your diet. You should also consider trying a Power or Vinyasa yoga class to boost your practice.
