Ardha Chandrasana is my favorite pose! I just love flowing it. On my 37th birthday, we did 37 in my class
:-)

Sadie,
I love this routine. I really feel a workout just from doing the first 2 portions of the power hour. One question...do you have tips on how to practice jumping (or floating) from downward dog to forward bend? I try to pull in at the navel but I know it'll take time before I can appear like I'm floating like you do so gracefully.
Thank you,
Roseanne

Hi Roseanne!
I love that you have found this, and it's working for you. Congrats!

The key to the jump forward is to exhale, and pretend you're jumping over someone lying across the middle of your mat. So you rainbow the knees and feet up, then forward, and you'll start to get the height.

The rest is repetition, and taking the hips a bit higher over time. You'll build it...and I want to know how you're doing! Let me know...

Namaste,
Sadie

Wow, I just did the first three parts of the power hour and I´m sweating...I always wanted to do yoga and had some power yoga classes, but It´s just too expensive for me to do it regularly. I love that you share this with everybody for free and that it´s something I can do at home whenever I feel like it. Thank you!

Hi Val,

I'm so happy you're digging the
Power Hour. I wanted to offer this to you, and all yogis who want to learn for less:)
THANK YOU too, for being here. You make this all possible for me.
Enjoy the bonfire of center!

Hey Sadie.
I really love your videos! I try to follow them to my best, I am fairly new at yoga. I am catching on pretty well, and have been doing this for about 3 weeks, I was wondering if you had any insight when standing in preperation for warrior 3 (with my hands on the mat) I feel alot of pressure in the hip of which ever leg I am standing on, What am I doing wrong, Or what could I do to minimize this?

Sincerely,
Jennifer

Hi Jennifer!

Try bending your standing leg until the pressure lessens, and work there for a while, playing the edge of your stretch, but not over-straightening your leg until you feel pressure again. Also, keep your navel lifted/tailbone tucked to open some space in the front hip.

You're stretching a ton of leg and hip muscles there, so go slow, and open the area over time.

Let me know how it works--thanks for writing!!
Sadie

Hi Sadie!

I love your yoga videos! I'm still relatively new to yoga but the first two sessions are just so addicting and fun. They definately release some of the stress that I get from high school! =)

I have a quick question about this video though. Should I stay in each pose for 5 breaths? You do all of the poses really quickly; is that the pace that it should be done in?

Thanks for all the great videos!

-Diana
