Recipes for Dry Skin, Acne, PMS

This time we’re in the kitchen cooking a Spiced Popcorn Snack with turmeric—a spice that cures-- with resident chef Jennifer Iserloh, The Skinny Chef. So why pass on the salt and sprinkle some turmeric on your movie popcorn? Turmeric contains the active ingredient in a pharmaceutical for psoriasis, meaning it may aid dry skin. Its antiseptic properties make it great for the acne-prone. As an anti-inflammatory it can decrease muscle soreness.

But that’s not all… Most importantly, Dr. Eric Yarnell’s study in Alternative & Complementary Therapies explained that turmeric’s can regulate menstruation and relieve PMS symptoms.
